The mission of Anahola Canoe Club is to serve youth and adults through culturally rooted education and canoe paddling programs that build confidence, mālama 'āina and kai, teamwork, and lifelong respect for Hawaiian traditions through the practice of hoe wa'a. The club was established in 2025 by David “Boy” Kealoha in the effort to create a strong and resilient outrigger canoe community in Anahola, and everywhere on Kauai. Anahola Canoe Club is dedicated to serving the community through the teaching of the native Hawaiian culture of outrigger canoe paddling. The issues we address are to help the children in our community paddle free of charge, offer a kupuna (elderly) recreational paddling programand community strengthening. Paddling is not just a sport, it's our history.
