
The Lahainaluna High School Agricultural Learning Center (LALC) is a historic educational initiative located at Lahainaluna High School, the oldest school west of the Rocky Mountains. The LALC focuses on agricultural education, native plant propagation and community engagement to support Lahaina’s recovery after the 2023 wildfires. The center integrates traditional Hawaiian agricultural practices with modern sustainability techniques to address environmental restoration, cultural preservation and food security.
· Funding will go toward increasing student interest in agricultural education and career paths; Restore native landscapes and biodiversity in Lahaina; Revitalize the agricultural and boarding programs at Lahainaluna High School.
